Hello, I’m Francesca, founder of Training By Francesca and a professional Dog Trainer and Behaviourist with more than a decade of experience.
Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, but what continues to inspire me is the difference that thoughtful, effective training can make - not only to a dog’s behaviour, but to the entire relationship between a dog and their family.
My approach is compassionate, practical, structured and aimed at making life calmer and more settled with your dog. I look beyond the behaviour itself to understand why it is happening and what may be maintaining it. From there, I create a clear and realistic training plan that owners can confidently incorporate into everyday life.
Good training is about far more than teaching a dog to sit or stay. It is about developing communication, trust, boundaries and dependable leadership. My aim is to help you understand your dog more clearly while giving them the consistency and guidance they need to feel secure.
Although I have particular experience with gundogs- including Working Cocker Spaniels, Springers, Labradors and Retrievers—I have worked with hundreds of breeds, including dachshunds, terriers, whippets/ lurchers and guarding dogs (including shepherds, cane corso and XL bullies), and welcome dogs of every breed, age and background. Every dog is an individual, and their training should reflect their temperament, breed characteristics, home environment and the life their owners want to share with them.

These sessions are tailored to your dog’s individual needs. Whether your dog is facing reactivity issues, a breakdown in confidence or nervousness, or you are looking for help with resource guarding, this session is for you.
This 90-minute session is designed to help you tackle the issues at hand with specific guidance and follow-up homework, as well as continued WhatsApp support for 2 weeks following your session.
Give your puppy the very best start with personalised training covering toilet and crate training, settling, socialisation, feeding routines, loose-lead walking, recall and early reactivity prevention.
Choose from Bronze, Silver or Gold packages, depending on the level of training and ongoing support you need.
