ABOUT ME
Hello, I'm Fran, a highly experienced Dog Trainer and Behavioural Expert with over 11 years in Dog Training and behaviour.
It's a privilege to work with dogs, but in fact amazing people on a daily basis. I take immense pride in the rewarding nature of my profession. I have successfully trained thousands of dogs, averaging 35 to 40 each week, with a strong specialisation in Gundogs, particularly Working Cocker Spaniels, Springers, Retrievers, and Labradors. No breed is beyond my expertise; I've trained over 150 breeds, including Dachshunds, Poodle mixes, Staffies, Whippets, Terriers, Bully breeds, and various toy breeds such as Chihuahuas, Shih Tzus, Yorkies, and more.
My mission as a Trainer is to unlock your potential with your dog and significantly enhance your relationship. I strive to open up new possibilities in your bond, leading to a happier and calmer life together. Central to my work is building strong connections with clients, allowing me to quickly identify any issues you might be facing and addressing them directly. My goal is to help you create a richer, more tranquil, and fulfilling life alongside your furry companion.
As your Trainer, I'm committed to ensuring that your journey with your dog is not only enjoyable but also healthy and manageable. I’m eager to equip you with essential skills to recognize what makes your dog unique, as every breed and individual dog possesses distinct traits. Though change can often be challenging, I firmly believe in the wisdom of the saying, "We can't expect change if we're not willing to change ourselves!"
" I want you to experience all the joys of dog ownership and support you in meeting your dog’s needs- and yours too! "
I have a simple philosophy when it comes to dog training: anything meaningful in life requires our love, patience, and commitment. Modern dog ownership has taught us that simply purchasing or adopting a dog marks the beginning of a transformative journey in our relationship with them. It’s not enough to just teach commands like 'sit,' 'lie down,' and 'roll over.' We must question the purpose behind these commands and ensure they are used effectively and consistently. The essence of training lies in fostering leadership and genuine kinship. Commands carry little weight unless they integrate seamlessly into our lives with our dogs.
Training should be an exhilarating and enjoyable experience for both us and our furry companions! It’s natural for training to feel overwhelming at times—especially if we delay starting the process. That’s where I come in! I'm committed to helping you navigate any challenges you face with your dog, examining what's happening and why. Life with our canine friends should be filled with joy and tranquility, even though the demands of everyday life can make us feel like everything is spiraling out of control. This stress can lead to the development of undesirable habits and boundaries that need fine-tuning. Without our support and guidance, our dogs may pick up quirks or routines that disrupt their happiness and ours.
A common question I often hear is, "Is training my dog necessary?" And my answer is a resounding yes! Just like children, our dogs deserve our time, education, and encouragement. Additionally, we benefit immensely from understanding their needs and behaviors. The more we train with our dogs, the deeper our comprehension of them becomes, which strengthens our bond.
Dogs are incredibly perceptive and can sense our emotions more than we realize. This is why enlisting the help of an expert can be a game-changer. I’m excited to help you recognize how your actions influence your dog's behavior and to collaborate on a tailored training plan. Training can be an exciting adventure, and finding the right partner to support you is crucial. Together, we can forge a happier, healthier relationship with your furry companion. Our bond with our dogs is a precious gift that deserves to be cherished and nurtured.
Without a doubt, love stands as one of the cornerstones of effective dog training; however, it’s often confused with mere affection, which is the first misstep. Truly loving your dog means understanding their needs—guiding them through tricky situations with calmness and assertiveness. I’m eager to teach you how to express your love for your dog through training, revealing that love encompasses many forms.
My goal is to unlock the true potential of both you and your dog!

WHAT MY CLIENTS SAY...

KAYA
"We cannot recommend Francesca highly enough. She is a first class trainer with a true passion for her work. Our one year old retriever adores her and we have learnt so much from her calm and insightful approach. Moreover, we have also used the first class dog sitting for two holidays; what a difference it makes to know your dog is also having a wonderful time and being cared for so brilliantly! A real 'dog whisperer', don't hesitate to use her services!"

RIVER
"Francesca has been amazing! A really nice balance between being friendly and approachable but also professional with expert knowledge. She knows her stuff! Initially, we had to take a few steps back before moving forward and seeing a change in our dog's behaviour but Francesca supported us every step of the way."

NELLIE
"I have absolutely loved my sessions with Francesca. I reached out when I was pregnant to try and get a handle on my excitable Springador before the baby came along and she was wonderful. Francesca helped me understand my dog’s behaviour and gave me some really simple techniques to tackle our issues. She is exceptionally warm and kind and importantly, her tips do the trick! Thanks so much Francesca"
