BEHAVIOURAL ASSESSMENT

Once you have decided to pursue training for your dog, the next step is to organise a one-hour Behavioural Assessment.

The session takes place in the comfort of your own home, allowing me to observe your dog in their natural environment and gain a clear understanding of their everyday life. During the assessment, we will cover:

  • Observation of your dog at home – including their sleeping area, feeding setup, outdoor space, and daily routine.
  • In-depth behaviour and temperament evaluation – understanding your dog’s triggers, personality, and coping mechanisms.

  • Structured discussion of your current challenges, goals, and what you would like to achieve.

  • Lifestyle review – exploring your home, work, and daily routines to identify any factors that may influence your dog’s behaviour.

  • Foundation planning – outlining the beginnings of a practical and sustainable training approach tailored to your dog and your lifestyle.

Following the assessment, you’ll receive a detailed written report which includes:

  • A complete behaviour and temperament analysis.

  • Professional behaviourist observations on your dog’s current behaviour and your relationship dynamic.

  • Clear guidance on effective training methods and realistic next steps.

  • Breed-specific fulfilment strategies to support calmness, balance, and overall wellbeing.

  • A personalised, step-by-step training plan, broken down into sessions, to guide your progress moving forward.

Cost and Next Steps

The Behavioural Assessment costs £85.00 and serves as the required first step for all new clients.

There is no obligation to continue training after the assessment; however, many clients choose to proceed with ongoing sessions. The assessment itself provides you with a comprehensive understanding and a complete guide that you can follow independently or with professional support.
